Tiger Optics LLC, a leading manufacturer of laser-based trace gas analysers, has been recognised as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the 10-county Philadelphia region of the US after being named in the Philadelphia 100 for 2007, marking the 19th anniversary of the founding of the prestigious research project and event.
Founded in 1988 to publicly recognise and promote young successful companies in the Greater Philadelphia region, the annual Philadelphia 100 programme is conducted by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Wharton Small Business Development Centre.
Tiger Optics has enjoyed a successful start since its foundation in 2001 as a spin-off from parent company MEECO, a respected name in the moisture analysis sector. The company has experienced a compound growth rate of 54% over the past 5 years and 70% of sales in 2006 were to repeat customers.
