A strategic partnership between US-based companies, Worthington Industries and Cryoport, has been established, in which Worthington will design and manufacture biostorage and logistics equipment for use in Cryoport’s life sciences cryogenic logistics solutions.
Through Worthington’s acquisition of Taylor Wharton’s CryoScience business in December 2015, Worthington now manufactures cold chain storage and transport vessels and equipment, which provides critically reliable transportation of biological samples.
In order to advance its product offerings in the frozen life sciences market, Cryoport aims to use this new benefactor to increase its success in transport storage and effectiveness.
This new partnership also gives the California-based company the opportunity to expand into other logistics areas, such as storage, to be able to offer further options in the storage and fulfilment areas of logistics.
