Worthington Cylinders announced a price increase on all steel industrial gas cylinders.
The increase will advance cylinder prices on select high-pressure cylinders and all acetylene cylinders.
Dusty McClintock, VP of sales, said: We are making every effort to contain our raw material and energy costs. However, significant increases in natural gas, steel and transportation cost will make it necessary for us to pass on increases.”
With crude oil prices at record levels, rapid price escalation of natural gas due to seasonal demand and interruptions in production caused by hurricanes as well as a continuance of the tight steel market, Worthington Cylinders can no longer absorb the full burden of these cost accretions.
