Work has begun on a new £30m state-of-the-art facility at Swansea University in Wales that will bring together groundbreaking research with technology development in the field of semiconductor science and engineering.
Kier has been awarded the contract to deliver the 4,320sqm Centre for Integrative Semiconductor Materials (CISM) at the Bay Campus, which is due for completion in 2020.
Housing an industry-leading clean fabrication environment, research laboratories and office facilities, CISM will provide vital research and innovation support for the CSConneted Cluster, a growing network of regional semiconductor industry partners.
