Global energy company Woodside has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement with Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS).
Announced today (28th February), the deal will see Woodside supply around 0.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG to Korea over a 10.5-year period, beginning 2026.
The LNG will be from Woodside’s global portfolio, including Australia’s Scarborough Energy Project, which is targeting the first LNG cargo in 2026.
Meg O’Neill, CEO of Woodside, said the agreement reinforces the ongoing contribution towards the energy security needs of major customers in the region.
