Yesterday WITT highlighted concerns about the testing of medical gases prior to use and launched new equipment to aid.
WITT recommended that all medical gases were rigorously checked prior to use, in order to safeguard the patient’s health whilst also protecting the responsible physician from legal claims.
In response to this need WITT have released the “Oxybaby Med”. The wireless analyser can be operated single handed and may be connected simply to the tapping point, where measurements are automatically displayed on the illuminated unit.
The device ensures that incorrectly connected gas plugs and mixed tapping points are discovered before the gas is medically administered.
Features include a hygienically-optimized design and adapter set, while the machine checks for the gas type as well as the pressure and concentration.
