Germany-based industrial gases firm Westfalen Group (Westfalen) has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability after being awarded a platinum medal by EcoVadis – the world’s largest provider of sustainability rankings for companies.
The award puts the Münster-based family business in the top 1% of all companies evaluated and aligns with the firm’s intent to move away from fossil fuels.
Commenting on the award, Dr. Thomas Perkmann, CEO of Westfalen, said, “Westphalia is becoming greener: from alternative drive energies to hydrogen, environmentally friendly refrigerants and electricity-based heat.”
The award is a step up for the company from last year, when it received a gold medal as part of EcoVadis’ evaluation.
