Gas containment and transportation specialist Weldship has announced Scott Greisen as its President, effective 1st January 2025.
Greisen joined Weldship’s subsidiary, Texas Trailer Corporation, in 2016 and has played a pivotal role in driving initiatives that have significantly enhanced operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
He replaces the company’s current President, Bob Arcieri, who will remain CEO and ensure a smooth transition.
Arcieri said, “Scott has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of our business. His strategic vision and commitment to innovation will be invaluable as we continue to grow and adapt in a rapidly changing industry.”
Speaking on his new role, Greisen said he looks forward to working with the Weldship team to build on the successes and explore new avenues for growth.
Weldship has over 75 years of expertise behind it. Since its founding in 1946, the company has shifted its focus from the petrochemical industry and now heavily supports the industrial gas market, from hydrogen to specialty gases.

In 1990, Bob Arcieri and Bill Angus acquired Weldship from the original owner. Since then, Weldship has grown significantly, expanded its facilities, added experienced and dedicated personnel, and is firmly focused on new opportunities and markets.
Weldship’s flagship facility is in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The facility has been part of the company since its founding, but in 2020 the site underwent a major renovation and expansion project, with capabilities for acoustic emission, ultrasonic and hydrostatic testing, painting, and maintenance.
It also has a Texas Trailer Corporation facility of more than 10 acres in Gainesville, Texas.
