In a bid to drive forward plans to clean up the air in towns and cities, the UK Government has pledged a £48m ($62.2m) investment to fund new environmentally-friendly vehicles and infrastructure.
Brighton and Hove Buses are among the 19 successful bidders across England and Wales and are set to receive £4.4m ($5.7m) from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) towards 20 hydrogen buses for Gatwick, Crawley and Manor Royal Business District.
Nottingham City Transport has also been awarded £1.1m ($1.4m) biomethane infrastructure.
