A new alliance between three energy, engineering and technology companies aims to design a standardised concept for solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) manufacturing at a new factory to be built in Virginia, US.
Low-carbon technology firm Topsoe will work alongside ABB and engineering firm Fluor to design the factory, with enhanced safety and reduced costs being the ultimate aim.
The trio of companies have announced the partnership amidst a rapidly growing market for green hydrogen.
