Steve Atkins has been in the industrial gas business for 36 years, and has focused exclusively on the CO2 and dry ice business for the past three years. In 2021, while still executive vice-president at nexAir, he assumed primary responsibility for the company’s entire carbonic business segment as it increased the focus on this substantial part of its business.
nexAir has not been alone in this endeavor in the last decade; as Atkins himself explains, the value of CO2 is much greater today. It’s little wonder then, that it’s in so much demand and there is such emphasis on the security of its supply chain and diversified sourcing. Atkins is at the intersection of this supply-demand imbalance today, in his role as President of ACO2 Consulting.
