The Tanoto Foundation has said it will donate 500 tonnes of oxygen to Indonesia as the country continues to battle the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic with a low supply.
On Sunday (11th July), the group handed over an oxygen tank as a symbol of its promise which will consist of five shipments of 100 tonnes of hydrogen.
It is believed the first batch arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday after it departed the Tanoto Foundation’s headquarters on 9th July.
Handing over the donation, Haviez Gautama, Director of Communications at the Tanoto Foundation, said, “We are coordinating with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry, and the National Board of Disaster Management to ensure that this (the first batch of oxygen donation) can be carried out immediately, it can be distributed to those in need.”
