After spending 30 years as general manager and director of the cryogenic specialist company Demaco, 54 year-old Ronald Decker and his son Maurice felt it was time for a change of scenery.
Ronald has always had a passion for travel, whether it be for leisure or business, and 22 year-old Maurice had recently returned from an internship in Vietnam where he was inspired by the differences in culture and generations.
As well as having an ache for distant places, both father and son enjoy biking. A hobby which has led them to embark on many trips. It was during one of these trips that the idea of cycling all the way from Bergen to Mumbai was first introduced.
