There’s an interesting discussion resurfacing where the origin of hydrogen is concerned. At its core, the question is whether that hydrogen should be out-and-out green, truly clean and renewable, or should it be whatever colour of the rainbow it takes to realize this great energy transition?
In many respects, it boils down to whether you’re a pragmatist or purist. Perhaps the bigger question is, is there really a right or wrong answer here?
A case in point: Air Liquide’s new liquid hydrogen production and logistics facility in North Las Vegas was launched to much fanfare on 24th May (2022). Here was a big story, certainly an eye-catching headline and one that was trending across all the usual social media channels.
