Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) has approved the use of a High Flow Oxygen Therapy (HFOT) system developed by US-based respiratory care company Telesair.
To be distributed on the Thai market by Thailand-based JPP Care, the company’s Bonhawa HFOT system is designed to provide up to 80L/m (litres per minute) of medical-grade oxygen to treat patients suffering from respiratory insufficiency.
According to Telesair, the device features an easy-to-use touchscreen which allows greater therapeutic range and provides hospital workers with the ability to visualise patient settings and data from outside the room.
Stating the importance of Thailand as a market for Telesair products, Bryan Lieu, CEO, added, “High flow oxygen therapy has become widely accepted at Thai medical centres of excellence and there are many clinicians there that we are eager to work with.”
