Texas LNG Brownsville has signed a heads of agreement with Gunvor Group for a 20-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement.
Under terms of the deal, Texas LNG will supply Gunvor with 0.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG over the contract term.
Led by Glenfarne Energy Transition, Texas LNG is a four million tonnes per annum LNG export site. Texas LNG hopes to achieve financial closure, begin construction in 2024, and commence commercial operations in 2028.
Texas LNG has been designed to be one of the lowest-emitting export terminals globally, providing reliable, responsibly sourced US LNG to help fuel the global energy transition to renewables and reinforce energy security.
