France’s Technip has been awarded two major turnkey contracts by the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) for the new Jubail refinery in Saudi Arabia.
The full-conversion refinery will have a processing capacity of 400,000 barrels per stream day of Arabian heavy crude oil.
The contracts, which are scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2013, will be jointly executed by Technip’s operating centres in Rome (Italy) and Paris (France), with assistance from the group’s organisation in the Middle East.
New contracts follow Technip’s successful execution of the front-end engineering design (FEED) for the proposed refinery.
