Talos Energy has signed a deal to sell its carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) business, Talos Low Carbon Solutions, to Total Energies for $148m.
The sale of Talos Low Carbon Solutions includes three major projects along the US Gulf Coast: Bayou Bend CC, Harvest Bend CCS, and Coastal Bend CCS.
Post-transaction, TotalEnergies will own a 25% share in the Bayou Bend project in Texas, alongside Chevron and Equinor. It was also own a 65% operated interest in the Harvest Bend project in Louisiana and a 65% interest in the Coastal Bend project, also in Texas.
