Fuel pump manufacturer Svanehøj has seen a breakthrough in its fuel pump supply sales sector, with the securing of its first orders in the container ship segment.
Svanehøj has secured orders from shipyard giants Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
The shipyard companies ordered Svanehøj deepwell (DW) fuel pumps for 22 Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCV) with a capacity ranging from 15,000 to 23,500 containers (TEU).
Speaking about their deepwell pumps, Johnny Houmann, sales director at Svanehøj, said, “Our deepwell pumps are different from the pumps traditionally used on containers vessels.”
