Seamless steel and welded high-pressure (HP) cylinders are found everywhere, but they often go unseen or unnoticed. They do the work in the background, supplying the gases and liquids crucial to the beat of the industrial heart.
They serve industries such as food production, manufacturing, medical care, breathing air systems and so much more. Steel is still the choice material for constructing high-pressure cylinders, offering the most durable, longest lasting, and most efficient package in which to transport high-pressure gases.
But how did manufacturing and production know-how evolve to enable us to produce steel cylinders that last for so many decades? And how can we make these already efficient containers even more efficient, in order to keep up with the increasingly complex distribution demands of the industrial base they serve?
