Clean energy solutions company SpectrumH2 is set to further its clean energy ventures following the announcement that the company is pursuing a feasibility assessment of a large-scale carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project in Alberta, Canada.
Having already executed a Letter of Intent (LOI) and submitted an Expression of Interest to the Government of Alberta, SpectrumH2 has also contacted a local EPC firm to assist with the project’s initial engineering stage.
The project aims to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) at an industrial site before being transported and stored underground in a geological formation. Collaborative efforts will also be explored with other greenhouse gas (GHG) emitters in the area.
Following the EOI, the company will scale up the development via submission of a Full Project Proposal, allowing it to become a CO2 Hub Operator in the region.
