Facing a looming oxygen shortage crisis, one of India’s leading NGO’s, the Smile Foundation, is set to be given direct support to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic by Tecnimont Private Limited (TCMPL), the Mumbai-based engineering hub of Italian energy collective, Maire Tecnimont Group.
As a global leader in the transformation of natural resources, the group prioritises the industrialisation of green chemistry and circular economy.
Keeping with the terms of distribution as identified by District Health Nodal Office and Smile Foundation, this partnership aims to guarantee the distribution of 10-litre oxygen concentrators to care centres within Indian cities hardest hit by oxygen shortages.
Ensuring approximately 60 oxygen concentrators will be supplied to the hospitals in these cities, the partnership will also attempt to provide more, depending upon the requirement for oxygen concentrators and cylinders going ahead.
