The Philadelphia firm, Smart-Hose Technologies, has made two enhancements to its high pressure smart-hose safety system that will help extend the functional life of its high pressure cylinder filling hoses.
Andrea Guevara, President of Smart-Hose High Pressure Live Swivel commented, “High Pressure hose assemblies often experience premature hose failure due to excessive hose torque or twisting. Our new High Pressure Live Swivel is designed to allow the high-pressure hose assembly the ability to maintain neutral torque during pressurisation and will extend the functional life of the Smart-Hose High Pressure hose assembly.”
The Smart-Hose High Pressure Live Swivel is designed and integrated in the Smart-Hose fitting. It incorporates robust dual o-ring seals and works in conjunction with the Smart-Hose Safety System.
The device promises to eliminate premature hose failures due to excessive hose torque or twisting and will enable the Smart-Hose High Pressure pigtail the ability to maintain neutral torque during pressurization. Currently the Smart-Hose High Pressure Live Swivel is available in ¼” female NPT.
