Climate tech company Skytree has launched its first direct air capture (DAC) unit for onsite carbon dioxide (CO2) generation.
Dubbed the Skytree Cumulus, the unit captures CO2 from ambient air and makes it available for use by indoor farmers and greenhouse growers in the production of food, algae, vaccines, and flowers.
The unit can deliver an interrupted supply of up to 10kg of CO2 in a 24-hour period, delivering clean and affordable CO2 to businesses while alleviating procurement and transport challenges.
Rob van Straten, CEO of Skytree, described the launch as an incredibly exciting moment.
