Showa Denko will establish a second factory in Shanghai through its subsidiary to produce high purity gases for electronics.
Expected to start operations in the second half of 2021, Shanghai Showa Electronics Materials’ new facility, to be built adjacent to its current factory, will produce high purity nitrous oxide and high purity octafluorocyclobutane gases.
There will also be a dangerous good warehouse to stock the gases.
High purity nitrous oxide is a specialty gas used to form oxidised films on surfaces of integrated circuits which will compose semiconductor chips or display panels.
