SEMI has reported that worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached $11bn in the third quarter of 2016.
The billings figure is 5% higher than the second quarter of 2016 and 14% higher than the same quarter a year ago. The data is gathered jointly with the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) from over 95 global equipment companies that provide data on a monthly basis.
Worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings were $11.3 billion in the third quarter of 2016. The figure is 30% higher than the same quarter a year ago and 5 % lower than the bookings figure for the second quarter of 2016.
