The world’s foremost eco-friendly motor show returns to the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK this spring, as the Sexy Green Car Show is staged for the second time and features an array of the greenest cars on the planet.
Sponsored by The Co-operative Insurance company, the Sexy Green Car Show will run from 23rd – 31st May at the home of the world’s biggest plant Biomes, near St Austell in Cornwall, with both The Co-operative Insurance and Eden intending to build on the success of last year’s first-ever show.
Last year’s first-ever green car exhibition showcased the most fuel efficient cars available on the roads, with new ideas, future fuels and hybrid alternatives all taking centre stage at the Eden extravaganza and encouraging the public to have greater environmental consideration.
While hydrogen-fuelled vehicles appear to be the undoubted future for transport, the infrastructure development needed to implement this, along with a number of other challenges, is still lacking progress. At present and until hydrogen technology can be safely and economically viable, low-emission vehicles and hybrid cars are the nearest drivers can get to green on the roads.
This is something the producers of the Sexy Green Car Show seems to believe in and among the major manufacturers showing off their latest low-emission cars at the show will be Ford, Citroen, Honda, Peugeot, Saab, Fiat and Volkswagen. Announcing the headline sponsorship, David Neave, Director of General Insurance at The Co-operative Insurance, commented, “Following the unrivalled success of last year’s event, The Co-operative Insurance is delighted to be able to support the Sexy Green Car Show once again.”
