Engineering solutions firm Seatrium Limited has delivered a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to US-based LNG specialist New Fortress Energy.
Dubbed Energos Celsius, the FSRU will have a nominal regasification capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet per day and a maximum capacity of 1,000 million standard cubic feet per day.
The FSRU is a critical part of New Fortress Energy’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal development in Barcarena, Brazil. The project also includes a long-term gas contract to supply Nrosk Hydro, a 630MW gas-to-power project, and further power and fuel expansion projects.
Energos Celsius is owned by global marine infrastructure platform Energos Infrastructure. The FSRU was completed safely, on time, and within budget. It departed the Seatrium shipyard for Brazil, and will then be deployed at New Fortress Energy’s completed LNG terminal in Barcarena, Pará State, Brazil.
