Linde AG has been informed of the decision of the European Commission to suspend the review period for the merger clearance process regarding the business combination of Linde and Praxair, Inc.
Once the European Commission has received the requested information, the merger clearance process can be backdated to the 24th February 2018.
Such decisions are not uncommon in complex proceedings of this kind. Linde expects that the suspension will be lifted in the course of next week and that the review period will then continue to run.
The merger partners continue to work on completing the business combination as planned in the second half of 2018.
