REV LNG and HOPA achieve LNG bunkering milestone in Ontario

Fure Viten’s Furetank vessel has become the first European vessel to receive liquified natural gas (LNG) in Hamilton, Canada.

New York-based LNG services provider REV LNG and the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority on Tuesday (1st Aug) said they had provided LNG to the Swedish firm under charter by Petro-Nav Desgagnés.

David Kilbourne, CEO of REV LNG, notes Fure Viten as its second active customer in Hamilton.

He added, “Our hope is to continue demonstrating that Hamilton is the focal point for LNG supply to the Great Lakes marine market with safe and reliable service and attention to our customers’ needs.”
