Up to 822 ships – around a third of global capacity – are potentially impacted by attacks in the Red Sea, according to Drewry Shipping Consultants research.
In a recent video, it warns the next four-to-five weeks will be ‘critical’ for global shipping and traffic from Asia to Europe and Mediterranean to Asia.
The disruption has increased sailing times from 10-14 days as ships divert from the Suez Canal around the Cape of Good Hope (COGH), leading to higher fuel costs.
