Red Ball Oxygen Co., a family-owned industrial gases and welding supplies provider, has acquired Texas-based Ideal Specialty Gases and Analytical Services (ISGAS), diversifying its Technical Gas Services (TGS) portfolio.
ISGAS, which was founded in 2004, is predominantly a manufacturer of hydrocarbon standards, sulphur standards and various other specialty gases which are used in petrochemical refining processes. They distribute these products throughout the US and export to the Mexican, South American and Middle Eastern markets.
As the Red Ball TGS business unit produces gases for emissions monitoring and high-purity gases used in gas chromatography, a press release confirmed, “ISGAS will augment Red Ball’s offering and allow them to provide their customers a more robust and diverse specialty gas product line.”

Alex Kennedy, CEO of the Louisiana-based business, affirmed this and enthused, “We are very excited to partner with such a high-calibre specialty gases and hydrocarbon manufacturer. ISGAS has demonstrated many of the same qualities we at Red Ball hold dear – quality, responsiveness, and a dedication to customer service, and we are excited to work and grow into new markets together.”
