This May saw the annual Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair set new records.
Ranking second among the top tier trade shows for the global welding and cutting industry, the Beijing Essen Fair, has an established reputation and this year was no exception.
Held between 27th and 30th May, this year marked the fifteenth event. Attendance and contribution rates exceeded all previous records; exhibitor numbers reached 973 and were contained in an exhibition space spanning 92,400m².
Organisers of the event commented on the resilient growth rate in spite of global economic difficulties. In a recent press statement, they explained, “In a down market the budget should be cut, but not such trade fairs of importance as BEW, since to be there is to be in the industry and in the market.”
Throughout its lifetime, the conference has combined trade shows, forums, seminars, competitions and conferences. The May event saw over 10 technical seminars link manufacturers with end users to discuss the latest applications and practical solutions. Similarly, industrial organisations such as the Electric Welding Machine Committee of CEEIA and the China Welding Materials Industry Association, released live statistics and analyses throughout the show.
