Ranch Cryogenics, Inc. located in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, recently announced the successful start-up and commissioning of a 370 ton per day GOX/GAN/LAR Air Separation Unit for Jupiter Aluminium in Hammond, Indiana.
The plant was disassembled and moved from the Air Liquide Longview, Texas facility and reassembled in Indiana after refurbishment of all equipment. A complete process control system, designed and configured by RCI, was installed to replace the outdated original system.
The additional ASU is being used to supply GOX to the melters and GAN to the annealers. LAR is vaporized and fed to a degasser.
The ASU will supplement the mills original 105 ton per day GOX unit, which was installed by RCI in 2000.
