The Doha based corporation, Qatargas recently took centre stage at the second edition of ‘Made in Qatar’. The exhibition took place at the Doha Exhibition Centre and features 180 companies from various sectors. It ran from 4th January to 8th January 2011.
The event is organised by both the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) in addition to the Ministry of Energy and Industry. This year’s event sees Qatargas occupy a Gold Sponsorship slot for the duration of the four day proceedings.
Commenting on the company’s participation in the exhibition, Sheikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer, Qatargas, said: “We are proud to be associated with this exhibition which is a significant initiative that boosts local industries. As a company that pioneered Qatar’s LNG industry, Qatargas is keen to support the national efforts aimed at diversifying the local economy.”
The firm took the opportunity to showcase it LNG facilities. The event was opened by the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamas Al Thani.
