Sustainable energy technology provider ProSep will take part in a ‘major’ cooperative carbon capture project alongside water de-aeration specialist Moreld Minox Technology after the parties signed a test and cooperative agreement.
ProSep will implement one of its proprietary post-combustion solutions alongside Moreld Minox, Repsol Norge and the University of South-Eastern Norway on the proof of concept of the Minox Compact carbon dioxide (CO2)-capture system.
Funded by CLIMIT – a national research programme for carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology – the project aims to harness ProSep’s mixing technology to enhance solvent-CO2 kinetics and reduce the size and cost of CO2 capture facilities.
The compact system will act as a smaller, lighter solution to existing conventional systems that may be too large and heavy.
