The Danish Government is extending the present tax exemption of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) for an additional three years until 2022.
The hydrogen (H2) community in Denmark has welcomed the “important step forward”, but said it is regrettable that the government could not agree on a wider range of initiatives regarding green transport.
Tejs Laustsen Jensen, CEO of Hydrogen Denmark, said, “We need to push forward with H2 technology in the transport sector and the tax exemption is essential if we are to succeed.”
“Over the past few years we have improved and extended the H2 infrastructure and technology in Denmark, amongst others with the support of the EU-project H2ME2.”
