Air Products and Chemicals Inc. has announced it will increase the prices of several liquid and bulk industrial gas products in North America effective from 1st October, amid rising costs and planned plant upgrades.
The Allentown company plans to increase prices on bulk helium by 30%, liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen by 8%, liquid and bulk hydrogen by 12% and liquid argon by 12%.
The price increases apply to merchant and government customers in North America as the company faces escalating material, labour and energy costs and seeks to provide funds to upgrade its plants.
Air Products provides gases for the metals, chemical processing, food processing, medical gases, steel, manufacturing and petroleum industries.
