Premium Engineering has won a contract to supply equipment for a SIBUR project in Tobolsk, a town in Tyumen Oblast, Russia and the historic capital of Siberia.
The value of the contract is $25m, a deal that will see Premium Engineering deliver a propane cryogenic plant to Tobolsk-Neftekhim LLC.
The company will also supervise building and installation, start-up and commissioning, and undertake training for the operating staff at Tobolsk-Neftekhim.
According to Premium Engineering, the new high-tech equipment supplied will make it possible to increase hydrocarbons processing productivity from three million up to 5.8 million metric tons per year. The increase in production capacity at Tobolsk-Neftekhim is part of SIBUR’s large-scale plan to develop the Tobolsk industrial hub, one of the objectives being the construction of the polypropylene-making Tobolsk-Polymer project with an annual capacity of 500,000 metric tons.
