Praxair August sales have risen 13 per cent compared with the year-ago period. According to the company,the sales growth was due to higher prices and strong volume growth.
North America sales grew 11 per cent year-over-year. The region benefited from solid growth in on-site and merchant volumes, and strong year-on-year sales growth in packaged gases.
Europe on the other hand experienced 17 per cent growth. The growth was driven by higher sales in merchant and packaged gases in Spain and Italy and higher overall pricing.
South America and Asia were the fastest growing regions. Whilst South American sales grew 18 per cent, sales in Asia climbed by 21 per cent due to strong volume growth in on-site and merchant gases.
