High capacity utilization as well as continued energy trigger price increases for Praxair.
Praxair is notifying industrial, medical and specialty-gas customers in the United States of the following price increases which will be effectively immediately.
Nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide will increase 10 -20 percent. Helium will be up by 15 – 30 percent and facility fees and cylinder rental rates up to 15 percent.
These actions are implemented in response to high capacity utilization as well as continued energy, logistics and other operational cost pressures for all products. In certain instances prices may be higher or lower than these ranges.
