Praxair Distribution, Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., has acquired a Houston based gas distributor – National Alloy and Equipment, Inc.
The latest acquisition is an independent distributor of industrial and specialty gases, as well as ancillary welding equipment, supplies and services. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

National Alloy is a based in one of the fastest growing welding markets in the US. The company’s core service is focused towards providing technical support to the fabricators of high-pressure control packages and drilling risers for off-shore environments that require low-alloy, high-strength wires and fluxes. Tony Hardin, National Alloy President responded well to the acquisition, he said, “For over 20 years, our employees have delivered quality products and services. This, along with our customer service philosophy, has allowed us to become a market leader in the welding and gas segment in Houston.”
