Tier One player Praxair, Inc. has acquired UK-based NOxBOX Ltd, a company specialising in the manufacturing of inhaled gas delivery and monitoring instruments for the medical market.
The newly acquired firm provides a range of medical devices for in-hospital use, most notably its NOxBOXiTM system which provides intelligent nitric oxide (NOx) delivery. It delivers real-time monitoring of NOx, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and oxygen (O2) levels via a touch screen.
NOxBOX is a subsidiary corporation of Bedfont Scientific Limited, which is already an existing Praxair supplier.
The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, but it is understood that the NOxBOX business will remain headquartered in the UK.
