Energy infrastructure firm Sempra Infrastructure has signed a long-term sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with oil refiner PKN ORLEN for the supply of LNG from the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project under development in Jefferson County, Texas.
Under terms of the SPA, Poland-based PKN ORLEN will purchase approximately one million tonnes per annum of LNG from Sempra Infrastructure on a free-on-board basis for 20 years.
The Phase 1 project is now fully subscribed under binding long-term agreements, totaling 10.5 million tonnes per annum. In the last three months alone, Sempra Infrastructure has signed deals with the likes of ConocoPhillips, INEOS and RWE.
