Pfeiffer Vacuum’s leak testing methods for pharmaceutical packaging have taken centre stage in the company’s virtual showroom, available via the company’s website.
Disclosing the showroom today (July 7), the company said that visitors to the site will have access to information about the challenges of leak testing IV bags, syringes, blister packs, plastic bottles, vials and other non-porous containers.
In a statement which highlighted its innovation, Pfeiffer Vacuum, said, “A tight and reliable seal is essential in primary packaging for drugs. Contamination such as humidity, oxygen or microbiological ingress can considerably impact drug quality throughout the product life cycle.”
“To prevent risks such as the stability failure of highly moisture-sensitive drugs (such as dry powder for inhalation) or biological ingress into parenteral drugs, integrity tests with a high sensitivity are required.”
