Vacuum pump manufacturer Pfeiffer Vacuum has introduced a new magnetically coupled rotary vane pump that meets the strictest explosion protection requirements.
The German corporation manufactured the Duo 11 ATEX for processes that convey explosive gases and vapours or for procedures that take place in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The device features extra safety through a frictionless magnetic coupling which the corporation states as being critical in explosive atmospheres, “Without shaft seal rings, it is impossible for media inside the pump to escape out through fault shaft seal rings,” it highlighted.
