Vacuum technology specialist Pfeiffer Vacuum has announced plans to expand its manufacturing and logistics capacities through the development of a ‘state-of-the-art’ industrial complex at Berliner Strasse in Asslar, Germany.
According to the company, the expansion will include an 8,000m2 logistics centre with an integrated, full-automated warehouse with a further 1,000m2 to be added to create an additional produce area and a unified service environment.
“The company is incorporating photovoltaic systems throughout the project, with the plan to feed the electricity generated into the company’s own power network,” said the company in a statement.
