Pfeiffer Vacuum, a member of the global Busch Group, has received the EcoVadis Gold Medal in recognition of its sustainability and social responsibility efforts.
Specifically, the award was for Pfeiffer Vacuum’s facility in Asslar, Germany.
This year, Pfeiffer Vacuum improved its performance over the prior year, raising its overall score by eight points. This places the company among the top 2% of organisations evaluated over the past year.
Thilo Rau, Chief Information Officer at Pfeiffer Vacuum, said he is thrilled with the result that demonstrates the company’s dedication to advancing its initiatives.
“Being awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medical for the second time in a row is a great motivation for our entire team to continue driving our efforts even further in the next year,” he added.
Since 2007, the EcoVadis ranking has evaluated companies based on a range of sustainability criteria, including environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
More than 130,000 companies from over 180 countries have already been assessed.
Back in June (2024), Pfeiffer Vacuum was also awarded for its commitment to purchasing renewable energies with the Blue Sky Business Partner Luminary Award.

The award was in recognition of the company’s Yreka site, making it the first award winner in the California service territory.
