Pfeiffer Vacuum, a global provider of vacuum solutions, has completed the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent’s Vacuum Technology Unit, ‘Adixen’.
The German company announced its intention to purchase Adixen last year, on 3rd November 2010 and completed the transaction for a total cost of EUR 200m on a debt/cash-free basis.
The transaction was funded jointly through a capital increase and sale of treasury sales on 18th November in addition to a bank loan. Manfred Bender, CEO of Pfeiffer reacted positively to the news.
He commented, “We are happy that the transaction is settled now. We already took the first steps towards the integration of Adixen in the past weeks. Together with the management of Adixen we are convinced to become a world leader in vacuum solutions.”
