Carbon capture technology company CO2 Capsol will work with oil company Petrofac on carbon capture opportunities.
The agreement will see Petrofac providing engineering services to support CO2 Capsol’s UK carbon capture projects.
An existing project that the partners are working on is a planned CO2 capture facility at a combined heat and power plant in Stockholm, Sweden, with Petrofact awarded a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract and CO2 Capsol providing an End of Pipe (EoP) capture solution.
Stockholm Exergi’s planned Bio Energy CCS (Bio-CCS) plant will be the largest of its kind in Europe with the potential to capture 800,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
